Faststone Screen Capture Program Review

Considering the amount of screen captures I put on my blog you will agree that I do need one that makes me really productive which is exactly what FastStone Screen Capture program is.
The most surprising is its main interface. Its one of the simplest and inconspicuous looking interfaces I have ever seen.
Among the multitude of features it provides 3 are worthy of note.
Diigo Social Bookmarking Review

Diigo is the best social bookmarking website I have seen on the web so far. The creative ways by which you can bookmark stuff is what sets it apart.
Social bookmarking sites like delicious.com only allow to bookmark a link but there is no way to know what you liked on the link page. But with diigo you can bookmark part of the content of the page like images and text which diigo calls it as highlight.
Regardless of its clean design Diigo also features social networking where you can find people or communities who also have the same interests as you. Checkout the official demo video for a quick peek.

If you are a web developer then you would want setup local web server for productive development. But setting up a local web server, with PHP and MySQL, is a pain since it requires a lot of configuration and testing to make it work correctly.
Well! XAMPP is here to save the day. XAMPP is a web server which comes pre-configured with Apache HTTP Server, MySQL, PHP, Perl, SQLite and much more. Just download the XAMPP Windows installer, run the installer and after installation is complete - start developing. As simple as that.

JZip is a free archiving tool for Windows. It is small and executes fast with good response time. The popup menus are similar to WinZip. But unlike WinZip there are no popups asking you to upgrade software or to buy a premium version. Overall JZip is a good replacement for WinZip.

By far, among the download managers I used, I found Gigaget to be most useful, simple, and powerful. It has all the features of a normal download manager like multi-task downloads, browser integration, drop basket, stop/resume capability, batch download or link generator, auto-shutdown and auto anti-virus scan option when download completes and limiting bandwidth but the additional features (see below) are things that make it tick.
